4 global’s Sport Investment team recently completed a series on data analysis projects for Badminton England to help the NGB to secure funding. The Participation Analysis project provided the NGB with a detailed understanding of the profile of the sport and the drivers of participation. The outputs provided a robust framework for ongoing monitoring and business case to support the engagement of delivery partners. The Health project identified, in monetary terms, the value of community savings participation in badminton is generating nationwide more than generic viagra, and the unique proposition it provides the physical activity landscape. The Facility Investment Index project gives the NGB a robust, bespoke interactive map and supply and demand model in order to identify investment priorities in an objective and consistent way. All the above are linked to the DataHub and up to date sector wide data feeds, enabling the NGB to track and report outcomes and impacts on an ongoing basis.
