Andy leads the delivery of Strategic Services at 4global which embraces a wide range of facility development projects as well as key research, strategic, organisational and operational projects.
Andy has 30 years of international consultancy experience in the sport and major event sectors and has worked at a senior level as a board director, project director and educator. His specific experience covers areas such as sport facility development and management, sport tourism, high performance sport, sport for international development and sports education. In the major events sector, Andy has helped cities, local organising committee’s and international federations evaluate, bid for, plan for and deliver multi-sport and single sport major events.
Andy started his career in operational management. He has worked for a number of leading sport and major event consultancies including Strategic Leisure, Deloitte and PMP delivering a wide range of public and private sector projects. Prior to joining 4global, Andy was Director (Sport) for the AECOM economics practice and Director of Sports Business for Mott MacDonald. Andy has a Masters Degree in Sport Management from Loughborough University and is also a founder member of the Department for International Trade Sports Economy Sector Advisory Group, a member of the Loughborough University Sport Management and Industry Advisory Group and a Non-Executive Director of the Mountain Training Trust.
