Matt is the Director of the Sports Planning service area at 4global and has more than 20 years’ worth of experience in leading and managing high performing projects, organisations and teams within the sport and leisure industry.
He has directed and delivered consultancy projects on behalf of national and local governments, private sector clients, professional sports clubs, County Sports Partnerships (CSPs), Schools, College and Universities, leisure operators, National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs), developers and planners.
Examples of clients and projects include; Over 100 sport facility and physical activity strategies, open space studies, needs assessments, feasibility and options appraisals across the UK aligned to the latest policy and guidance, including national facility strategies for Sport Wales and Sport Northern Ireland. The development of national facility and regional strategies and projects for The Rugby Football League (RFL), The Rugby Football Union (RFU), The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Basketball England (BE), The Bowls Development Alliance and Parkour UK.
Matt’s career to date includes positions within the private leisure industry, local government, National Governing Bodies of Sport, Consultancy and a former Director of London Sport County Sports Partnership. His credentials include a 1st class MBA with Distinction and a Sport Science and Leisure Management degree from Brunel University, London. He is a registered Fellow of both the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and Institute of Consulting (FIC).
