How 4GLOBAL handles the information you give us through this website.

Who we are

This site is operated by 4GLOBAL Ltd, Venture X, 5th Floor, Building 7, Chiswick Business Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London, W4 5YG.

We are the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through the "Book a Discovery Call" form, we collect and store:

  • your first and last name
  • your work email address
  • your organisation
  • your role, if you give it
  • the sector you select, if you select one
  • the message you write

We also record the IP address the enquiry was sent from and your browser's identifying string. Those two are collected automatically and are used only to identify and block abuse of the form.

We collect nothing else about you. There are no advertising trackers and no social media pixels.

The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that confirms you are a person rather than an automated script. It sends Cloudflare enough to make that judgement, and may set a short lived cookie so it does not have to ask twice. It is not used to identify you or to follow you around the web.

Why we use it

We use your details to read and respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of the conversation while we are dealing with it. That is all we use them for. We do not add you to a marketing list, we do not copy your details into any other system, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have contacted us about our services, and answering you is what you would reasonably expect. Where your enquiry is a step towards entering a contract, that is our basis instead.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 2 years from the day they are sent, after which the record on this site is deleted automatically. A copy of each enquiry is also emailed to our team, and that copy is kept in our mail system under the same policy as other business correspondence.

Cookies

The site sets three cookies of its own, and none of them tracks you:

  • a session cookie, which keeps your visit consistent from page to page
  • a security token cookie, which stops another website submitting the enquiry form on your behalf
  • a cookie recording your answer to the cookie notice, so you are not asked again on every page. It stores only your choice and expires after 180 days

All three are necessary for the site to work, so we do not ask permission for them. The same applies to any cookie set by the Cloudflare check described above: without it the enquiry form cannot tell people from scripts.

A notice appears asking whether you accept cookies. If you accept, we load Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies (named _ga and similar) and sends anonymised usage data to Google so we can see how the site is used. Nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is set unless you accept, and declining is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind by clearing your cookies for this site.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry is stored on the servers that host this website, and a notification is delivered by our email provider. Both act on our instructions and only for the purposes described here. Nobody else receives it.

If you accept the cookie notice, Google receives the anonymised usage data gathered by Google Analytics. This is separate from your enquiry, which is never sent to Google.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it at all. You can also ask us to send it to another organisation.

To make any of those requests, email Inquiries@4global.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
