Throughout this exciting project, 4GLOBAL was commissioned to create a bespoke statistical model, process and delivery framework that has never previously existed for Wales. The objective was to create a national supply and demand picture for health and fitness, swimming pools, sports halls, studios and squash courts, to identify where deficits and surpluses exist, both now and in the future.

This national view now provides the Welsh Government, Sport Wales and local authorities with an unprecedented level of insight, identifying where, how and why investment should be targeted across the country.

In addition, the FPM utilises 4GLOBAL’s unique Social Value Calculator to quantify the amount of Social Value (health, education, wellbeing and crime) that is generated across each facility in Wales. This allows stakeholders to identify the areas where investment will drive the greatest returns and have the largest positive impact.
