4GLOBAL takes part in Pan American Games Knowledge Sharing Seminar
4GLOBAL supported the Peruvian Government, the UK Department for International Trade (DIT) and the organisers of Lima 2019 to deliver a successful Games. 4GLOBAL was the lead contractor managing the operational and infrastructure delivery as part of the Government to Government (G2G) agreement between the UK and Peruvian Government to provide the technical support to Peru in relation to the delivery of the 2019 Pan American Games.
4GLOBAL’s Marcelo Wellisch and Keila Ramirez, who played key roles in the success of the Games and G2G programme, attended the two-day seminar led by Panam Sports, where the Lima 2019 Organising Committee (COPAL) shared the lessons learned and experiences across many areas including sports, volunteering, budgets, infrastructure, technology, broadcasting and marketing.
On the seminar, Marcelo Wellisch, Partner at 4GLOBAL said: “We were delighted to play such a major role in Lima 2019, an event that was regarded as the most successful edition of the Pan American Games ever. This seminar was a continuation of that work and the legacy of Lima 2019.
“For the success of the Pan American Games, it is essential that meetings like this happen as it allows for the transfer of knowledge gained from going through the four-year cycle. We hope that the organisers of Santiago 2023 found the two-days invaluable for their efforts to make the Santiago 2023 Games a success for everyone involved.”
