Data analytics and insight

We provide the evidence and insight that underpins investment into facilities and participation, using data from across the sport and physical activity industry.

Our team of data scientists, statisticians and Geographic Information System (GIS) specialists use a range of modelling techniques, processes and algorithms to bring raw data to life and provide organisations with actionable insight. We use market leading tools to present outputs in dynamic and engaging ways, allowing organisation to interrogate data on an ongoing basis.

We work with a wide range of uk-based and international organisations, from leisure operators to national governing bodies, national funding bodies and professional services organisations, providing insight that has not previously been available in the sector.

We help organisations plan and deliver investment strategies into both sports facilities and participation programmes. Services include modelling latent demand for new and existing facilities, as well as understanding the potential audience for a new programme or product.

We utilise predictive modelling to understand how the demand for sport and physical activity will change over time, taking into consideration the latest trends across the sector. We also provide pricing analysis for new and existing sites, modelling the impact of changing the pricing model and informing business planning.

We understand data and how to get the most out of it. We work with organisations to identify the outcomes that need to be achieved and the infrastructure that is required to deliver these outcomes. We have delivered data strategies for national funding bodies, national governing bodies and sport for development organisations, as we believe that every organisation across the sector should be maximising the use of data and insight.

We provide organisations with a clear understanding of the benefit that they provide, both financially and to the wider society. Our research builds on partnerships with leading research organisations, providing the quantitative and qualitative evidence to demonstrate the current and future benefit of sport and physical activity.

Through our work with the largest sport and physical activity organisations across the sector, we have access to an unprecedented amount of aggregated data. Our research team uses this data and our partnerships with subject matter experts to provide sector-leading insight and research papers, informing major decision making across the sector and ultimately, shaping the future of sport.
